Long legs. Blonde hair. Cool Nordic charm. These outward attributes are often used to stereotype Swedish women. But not ACE WILDER.
Born into the arms of an extremely creative family in Sweden, ACE WILDER, who has so much more to offer than only her straw-blonde hair, grew up in Florida. In fact, her greatest assets may well be her incredible voice, a sophisticated sense of humour and a nose for perfect dance/pop beats to move the masses. Armed with this special combination of broad talents, Ace is now preparing for world conquest. Get ready for a “Wilder” time to come!
“Even as a little girl I always knew I wanted to be a singer. Then I discovered Michael Jackson and choreographed dancing. And maybe I shouldn’t say this, but one day I discovered that while my greatest passion was definitely singing, I was actually better at dancing. That was a tough realisation”, explains Ace humbly as she talks about her previous career choice as a show jazz dancer. But thanks to Ace’s mum, who continued to support her daughter’s singing ambitions, we can now enjoy her own exciting interpretation of pop and the fabulous voice she has created to bring her imaginative song ideas to life.
ACE WILDER’s first studio recordings landed her a job singing in a soul/pop girl band and provided a great crash course in the entertainment business. “I was quickly able to learn a lot about the music business, discipline, teamwork, stage presence and persistence. That was a great experience...”. Despite all the time her busy schedule took up during this period, Ace’s creativity still drove her to additionally write songs for other artists on the side, including the hugely successful Swiss singer Stefanie Heinzmann.
Now ACE WILDER is ready to step fully into the spotlight performing her own music herself. Her choice of predominantly electronic beats is a result of her return to her Nordic homeland. Previously consumed with soul and pop, the Swedish scene introduced her to a completely new range of sounds that she was eager to integrate into her own music.
Her latest single “Do It”, co-written together with JS 16 (Bomfunk MC’s, Darude), features the 80s synthesizers, 90s Eurodance beats and dance pop references to idols such as Michael Jackson and Prince that we can expect in ACE WILDER’s future. Uplifting dance beats and Ace’s unmistakable voice are a combination crying after “more”, and that’s precisely what her future is set to bring. “I’m already working on an album for 2013 with lots of different producers. It’s going to be very diverse”, she pledges
.
“If it pops, it’s pop and if it’s pop, it pops!”, is ACE WILDER’s maxim and the common thread in every aspect of all her productions. |
