FEATURING A MEDUZA REMIX AND ORCHESTRAL RE-WORKING

Breakout star DERMOT KENNEDY today releases the brand new ‘Power Over Me EP’, which features remixes from the likes of MEDUZA as well as alternate versions of the original Top 10 single ‘Outnumbered’. The single has passed Gold status in the UK and had one of the longest runs of any single in 2019 to be playlisted on BBC Radio 1, culminating with 14 weeks of playlist support. Globally Dermot sits with just over 950m streams across all platforms.

Alongside the original fan-favourite, the EP consists of acoustic and orchestral re-workings as well as remixes by Italian production trio MEDUZA who saw chart success last year with their platinum selling single ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ and a previously released low-rumbling house reworking by up-and-coming DJ Ten Ven.

‘Without Fear’, which reached #1 in the UK and Irish Official Charts and #18 in the Billboard Top 100, has proved Dermot to be a true star across the globe. The album was the fastest selling debut album of 2019 in Ireland and sat at #1 for five weeks, reaching the top spot again in the first week of 2020 after the two biggest headline shows of his career at Dublin’s 3Arena.

With recent TV performances on Jimmy Kimmel, The Jonathan Ross Show, Sunday Brunch, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Ellen Show, Dermot shows no signs of slowing down. This all comes ahead of his biggest run of tour dates yet with shows in Manchester, Glasgow and a night at Alexandra Palace in London. This follows two sold out dates at London’s Eventim Apollo in December and shows all over the UK and Europe, culminating in over 160,000 tickets sold in 2019 alone.

June 2020 Dermot will headline three huge outdoor performances across Ireland at Malahide Castle in Dublin, Independent Park in Cork and Belsonic Festival in Belfast – with all 50,000 tickets selling out in under 10 minutes.

Global star in-the-making DERMOT KENNEDY today confirms details of an intimate UK tour ahead of his biggest ever headline run to date this December. Supporting venues towns away from the usual touring stops, the string of shows will see Dermot head to Kingston, Bristol, Belfast, Dundee, Glasgow, Newcastle and Southampton next month. The newly announced tour will be in support of his highly anticipated debut album ‘Without Fear’, due for release 27th September 2019
